COVID-19 Updates & Activities
COVID-19 UPDATE ***NEW***
It's almost here.....the Owego Gymnastics & Activity Center reopening. We have missed everyone so much and can't wait to see you all.
The staff has been very busy getting ready to open. We have been cleaning, painting, organizing and most of all getting all of our
plans set to welcome you back in the safest and organized manor that we can. You will notice that we will be opening in Stages
and will have many new policies in place to keep you and our staff as safe as possible.
We will continue to monitor information from NY State, the NY State and Tioga County Health Departments along with the CDC
and update anything necessary to continue to operate in the safest manner possible.
All dates for Stages are based on our best knowledge at this time. IF at anytime the Center believes it is in the best interest
of our students or staff to change or put a halt on stages we will do so.
Keep a look out on our Facebook, Instagram and on this page for information on online and virtual offerings for our members.
Please feel free to email if you have any ideas on ways we might be able to help you and your family cope with
the physical restlessness during this time.
Again, we hope that you and your family continue to do well, stay home and stay safe!
The Owego Gymnastics & Activity Center Staff and Board of Directors
Stage 1 - July 6
Team & Private Lessons
Stage 2 - July 6
Stage 3 - September 8*
I will fill out a NEW Registration Form for each child that is returning to Owego Gymnastics & Activity Center for all classes or activities .
My child(ren)'s contact information is up to date, and I will remain reachable while my child is attending classes.
I should have my child(ren) use the restroom and wash their hands at home, before arriving at the Center.
I will drop my child(ren) off and pick them up at the designated area on time and use social distancing at all times.
Owego Gymnastics & Activity Center requires hand sanitizing for everyone who enters the building.
Masks are required for all who enter the Center including children, spectators and non-participating individuals.
Only one parent or non-participating individual will be allowed to enter the building at the main entrance to conduct business or ask questions. Please do not bring non participating children and wait until staff has picked up children for their class.
I will observe social distancing while at the Center. Spectating is not encouraged, but we understand that it may be necessary for some.
My child(ren) cannot leave any personal belongings in the lobby or gym, including shoes and non-gymnastics clothes. A labeled screw topped water bottle may be taken into the gym. You must take all items (except water bottle and mask) with you when child is picked up by staff member. (Exceptions for Team and Summer Fun Weeks will be provided)
Child(ren) will be picked up and returned to you at the designated area by staff. Classes start and end times have been adjusted and staggered to ensure a safe entrance and exit from the gym and to allow for cleaning between each class period.
I will keep my child(ren) home if they or anyone they have had contact with is coughing, has a temperature over 100.4, or other Covid-19 symptoms.
I understand that all staff members will make a strong effort to socially distance, but that due to the nature of sports, there will be times that contact or less than prescribed physical distancing will occur.
Spotting is sometimes necessary for safety and to prevent injury. Children will only be spotted as needed.
I am allowing my child(ren) to participate at Owego Gymnastics & Activity Center, knowing that it is impossible to keep them, myself, or any other individual inside the gym completely safe from COVID-19 exposure.
These procedures will evolve and change over time, and I will follow any new standards required by the state and local government, and by Owego Gymnastics & Activity Center.
